MARCO OVIES

Marco Ovies is a Vancouver-based journalist, social media manager, copywriter, and content creator with bylines in a variety of publications. Currently, he is a Staff Writer for Dished Vancouver and Daily Hive, where he covers both local and national food news. He has also written for The Georgia Straight, Burnaby Beacon, Surrey604, This Magazine, EARMILK, HOLR Magazine, and more.

In addition to his writing, he has experience in food photography and filming/starring in TikToks/Reels. He has made many on-camera appearances for Dished Vancouver in both on-site restaurant features and green screen videos, alongside crafting and running social media accounts for the Burnaby Beacon and for multiple concert venues run by The MRG Group, including accounts for the Vogue Theatre, Biltmore Cabaret, and Capital Ballroom in Victoria.
